UK Aqua Ltd have jumped to help sponsor a group of performers for the opening ceremony at the World Fire Fighters Games 2008. The UK Parkour performers (athletes who leap between tall buildings and other structures) are to be part of a spectacular opening ceremony at the World Fire Fighters Game son the August Bank Holiday week end. The performers needed sponsorship for equipment and clothing for the event and UK Aqua have come to their rescue.The Parkour performers are representing water in its fight to combat fire, in a daring and visually breathtaking opening sequence for the games. So, as UK Aqua Managing Director Gareth Prandle explains, UK Aqua were the perfect company to come to their aid. “We could not help but see the obvious amusing link between quenching fires with water and our business of providing water coolers for offices” Gareth explains, “We were therefore honoured to be able to sponsor these incredible performers at an event which in itself is an important recognition to the skills and dedication of firefighters across the world.”
Daniel Ilabaca one of the UK top Parkour performers taking part said “We are extremely grateful to UK Aqua for their sponsorship. “ I am interested in all aspects of movement and this is going to be an amazing opportunity for us to work together with other forms of movement to produce a spectacular that will remain in people’s minds for a long time to come.”
